Collaboration

Share, review, and deliver with confidence

This section covers permission strategy, revision safety, and export paths for stakeholder handoff.

Invite collaborators by email
Email invitations create collaborator records and can send email via SES when configured.
  1. Enter collaborator email in the Share tab before creating a share link.
  2. Select required permission and create the link.
  3. The collaborator appears in the Collaborators section of that project.
  4. If SES is configured, invitation email is sent automatically.
Anyone opening shared links
Understand shared link behavior
Shared sessions enforce link permission and hide owner-only side tabs.
  1. Open the shared URL in a browser.
  2. If the link is VIEW permission, edits are blocked and save actions are disabled.
  3. If the link is EDIT permission, changes save back to the source project.
  4. Expired links return unavailable state and must be regenerated by a project editor.
Editors
Use manual save, autosave, and conflict handling
Projects autosave after edits and surface conflict state if a newer server version exists.
  1. Edit project content and watch save state indicators near the canvas.
  2. Use Cmd/Ctrl + S or the save button for manual save.
  3. Autosave runs automatically after short idle intervals when changes are pending.
  4. If conflict appears, refresh project state and re-apply required edits before saving again.
Project owners and editors
Create and restore revision snapshots
Revision history provides rollback points for major milestones.
  1. Open Revisions tab from the build panel.
  2. Click Snapshot to create a manual revision point.
  3. Use Refresh to sync latest revision history from server.
  4. Click Restore on any entry to replace current plan with that revision.
Editors
Export files and procurement manifest
Export SVG, PNG, PDF, and manifest CSV from inspector or header export menu.
  1. Open Export dropdown in the editor header for quick format actions.
  2. Choose SVG for vector output, PNG for raster snapshots, or PDF for handoff sheets.
  3. Use Manifest CSV export for quantity and cost data based on symbol metadata.
  4. Use Manifest dialog to review totals before downloading CSV for procurement.

Exit editor and auto-generate project thumbnail
Exit action captures a thumbnail and updates dashboard project cards.
  1. Click Exit editor in the top right of the editor header.
  2. Wait for thumbnail capture and upload to complete.
  3. You are returned to dashboard when exit flow finishes.
  4. Dashboard card now shows latest thumbnail preview when upload succeeds.
